AIGA signs and symbols, Barcodes and QR codes, Semaphore, Morse and Binary codes…, we have a long established culture of pictographs that surrounds, informs and quantifies us every day. “Sign Language” appropriates these visual codices, subverting them into playful or more serious visual puns and signage. It explores the translation from thought to visual and the elements required to create a visual narrative.
